Bowden rockets to first 2022 USCS  win at the Mag in the Fireworks 150 on Sunday

Columbus, MS -July 3, 2022 - Hernando, Mississippi's Brad Bowden drove Tony Higgin's #8 winged sprint car into the USCS Victory Lane for the first time in 2022 and captured a career-second USCS win on Sunday night at Magnolia Motor Speedway in the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters 30-lap A-Main event.

Bowden battled USCS Hall of Famer , Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee for the lead in the early going with Gray leading three Laps before Bowden took the point until the checkers flew.

Gray was set up to run the bottom of the 3/8 mile oval and lost some ground in lapped traffic.

Hayden Martin from Olive Branch , Mississippi battled with Gray and Dale Howard from Byhalia,  Mississippi for the runner-up spot.

Past USCS Champion, Marshall Skinner from Marion, Arkansas moved into the top five and those four drivers see-sawed positions in the top five for the final twenty laps.

The young gun Hayden Martin prevailed in the battle for the runner-up spot with two-time USCS Mid-South Champion Dale Howard following Martin across the finish line in third place.

Marshall Skinner took the high-side to fourth place while Terry Gray completed the top five.

Marshall Skinner won the Engler Machine and Tool First Heat, while Atoka, Tennessee's Jeffrey West won the JJ Supply of NC Second Heat.  Brad Bowden then won the USCS Hoosier Speed Dash by inches over Terry Gray to be award the K&N Filters Pole Position for the main event. Hayden Martin garnered tge Wilwood Disc  Brakes Hard Charger Award for advancing the most  positions in the A-Main.
