USCS race team Terry Gray Racing nominated for National Sprint Car Hall of Fame “360 Sprint Car Team of the Year” award

Atlanta, Georgia - December 21, 2019 – The two-car United Sprint Car Series race team of Terry Gray Racing consisting of eleven-time USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters National Champion Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee  and two-time USCS National Sprint Car Champion, Morgan Turpen of Cordova, Tennessee, have been nominated for the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame 360 Sprint Car Team of the Year award, after completing another successful season during 2018. Gray finished the 2018 season in second place in the National standings behind two-time and 2018 USCS National Champion, Jordon Mallett from Greenbrier, Arkansas. Gray’s team-mate, Morgan Turpen who won her two series titles during the 2015 and 2016 seasons, finished in third place in the National standings. The two drivers visited the www.RockAuto.com USCS victory Lane five times in 2018 during one of the series most competitive seasons ever.

Morgan Turpen who finished in the top five of the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame driver of the Year poll after the 2017 season when she scored nine wins, had three victories during the 2018 season. Veteran sprint car driver and car owner Terry Gray won two USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour main events. In addition to Gray’s two wins, the veteran also had 20 top five finishes and 37 top ten finishes. His team-mate, Morgan Turpen had an even better score sheet with 27 top five finishes to go with 33 top ten finishes. 

 The United Sprint Car Series kicks off its 23rd annual USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters and its 2md annual USCS Winter Heat 10-race mini-series on Friday and Saturday, January 25th and 26th at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Florida.
