Cade Dillard Soars to ShowTime Speedway $5,000 Victory
WoO Labor Day Weekend Slate Awaits

Robeline, Louisiana (08/27/19) – After Friday night’s Louisiana Late Model Series event at ShowTime Speedway, Cade Dillard was $5,000 richer. The pilot of the S&S Fishing & Rental Inc. No. 97 MB Customs/ Clements Racing Engine Super Late Model surged from the eighth-starting spot to score his fourth victory of the season.

“Well, that win was far from easy,” Dillard laughed after claiming the victory. “I had some really good cars starting in front of me, but this hot rod was on point for the feature, and we got the job done. The $5,000 top prize was really nice, but it was especially great to have so many family and friends there with us. This coming weekend we’re back on the road with the Outlaws, so this was a nice shot in the arm as we get back to the national grind.

“I definitely want to thank all of my great sponsors, especially Shane Sprinkle with S&S Fishing & Rental. He kicked in an additional $3,000 tonight to make this a $5,000-to-win race, and he gives me everything that I need to be successful with my program. Without him and all of my great supporters, there’s no way that I could do this.”

On Friday night Cade Dillard invaded ShowTime Speedway (Many, Louisiana) for the Louisiana Late Model Racing Series sanctioned program. A sixth-to-third run in his heat race, positioned Dillard eighth on the starting grid for the 40-lap feature.

Biding his time during the early stages of the event, Cade ultimately shot to the lead on lap 22 and never look back on his way to his fourth win of 2019. Cade topped B.J. Robinson, Morgan Bagley, Colton Horner, and Jon Mitchell at the line to pick up the $5,000 payday.

Bellm Set for LOS 360 Nationals after Charging to Top Ten Finish in 410 Debut!

Lonnie Wheatley, NIXA, Mo. (August 27, 2019) – After rallying to a top-ten finish in his 410-ci Sprint Car debut this past weekend at Farmington, Missouri’s St. Francois County Raceway, Kyle Bellm is back in Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour competition with this weekend’s Tenth Annual LOS 360 Nationals at Eldon, Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday and Sunday.

The two-day card offers up a $3,000 winner’s share on Saturday before upping the ante to $5,000-to-win on Sunday.

“It’s a place that we have always run well at,” the driver of the No. 14k Sprint Car explains.  “We had a good run at this race last year on the first night then ran into some problems the next night.  We’re looking to put together a good weekend.”

Bellm last scored a win at Lake Ozark Speedway on July 28 of last year and raced to a third-place finish on the opening night of last year’s LOS 360 Nationals.

Last weekend, Bellm made his first start in 410-ci action at St. Francois County Raceway’s $3,000-to-win event in Farmington, MO.

And, after a rough start to the night, Bellm bounced back to score a top-ten finish.

“We started seventh in the heat and they don’t do passing points,” Bellm says.  “We were passing for fourth and I overdrove it and got into the wall and knocked the Jacobs ladder off.”

Bellm bounced right back though after quick repairs, racing to a third-place finish in “B” Main action after starting tenth.

From there, Bellm rallied from 18th in the “A” Main to post a tenth-place finish.

“We were going pretty well, then the track took some rubber,” Bellm sums up.  “Overall, there were a lot of good things to take away from it and we’re looking forward to more opportunities to race with the 410.”

For this weekend though, it’s back to the 360-ci powerplant with the LOS 360 Nationals at Lake Ozark Speedway with several more notable 360-ci events in the upcoming weeks including the Hockett/McMillin Memorial at Lucas Oil Speedway on September 19-21 and I-30 Speedway’s Short Track Nationals on October 4-5.

The Kyle Bellm Racing efforts are made possible with support from marketing partners including Greenworks Nursery, Landscapes Awarded, Christian County Collision Repair, Bybee Lawn Care, PPG Automotive Finishes, Colorvision, Schure Built Suspensions, Schaeffers Racing Oil and Valley Park West Retirement Living.

Quick Stats:  25 Races, 1 win, 5 top-fives, 12 top-tens.

Carney Ready for Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour Triple this Weekend

Lonnie Wheatley, EL PASO, Texas (August 27, 2019) – Firmly entrenched among the top five in Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour points, John Carney II is ready for a weekend triple throughout Iowa and Missouri this weekend aboard the Sander Construction/South Plains Auto Transport/Mesilla Valley Transportation No. J2 Sprint Car.

The action begins with Carney’s first visit to West Burlington, Iowa’s 34 Raceway on Friday before shifting to Eldon, Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway for the Tenth Annual LOS 360 Sprint Car Nationals on Saturday and Sunday.

While it will be Carney’s maiden voyage at 34 Raceway, he scored a National Tour win at Lake Ozark Speedway earlier this year.

“I’m looking forward to West Burlington, it looks pretty neat, should be a fun track to race on,” Carney says.  “And we were really good at Lake Ozark last time.  We have a different car and different motor from the last time, but I think we’re dialed in about right.”

Carney enters the weekend sitting fourth in points with the Lake Ozark triumph in May among his ten top-fives and 15 top-tens in series competition.

Carney goes into the weekend after posting a runner-up finish in ASCS Lone Star Region action last weekend at Texas’ Abilene Speedway after the scheduled National Tour event in West Memphis, AR, fell victim to excessive rain.

It was an Abilene Speedway unlike Carney had seen in the past.

“It’s usually dry there,” Carney says.  “It was tacky and heavy all night and got faster as the night went on.  I couldn’t get the car free enough.”

Starting from the pole position, Carney ran second throughout after a questionable start and finished out the night with runner-up honors.

“Tony (Bruce, Jr.) jumped the start pretty bad and they didn’t call it back, which I probably would do the same if I knew they wouldn’t call it back,” Carney explains.  “It was wide open from there on, all you could do was follow and hope for a mistake.”

With another Regional shakedown in the books, it’s back to National action this weekend.

John Carney Racing is made possible by the support of invaluable partners including Danny Sander Construction, South Plains Auto Transport, Mesilla Valley Transportation, Jackson Compaction, Vado Speedway Park, CSR Garage, Momentum Racing Suspensions, Performance Plus, Performance Motor Coach, Raider Graphix, MSD Ignition, Joe Hunt Magnetos and Bell Helmets.

Quick Stats:  26 Races, 3 Wins, 14 top-fives, 17 top-tens.

Next Up: Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour 34 Raceway in West Burlington, IA, on Friday and Lake Ozark Speedway near Eldon, MO, on Saturday and Sunday.

Cannon McIntosh Set for POWRi Midget Double at Lake Ozark

Lonnie Wheatley, BIXBY, Okla. (August 27, 2019) – Cannon McIntosh is ready for a holiday weekend at the lake.  But it won’t be any leisurely water activities, as he’ll be behind the wheel of the Dave Mac Motorsports Toyota-TRD Spike No. 08 Midget for this weekend’s pair of Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League events at Eldon, Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway.

The two-day card atop the 1/3-mile clay oval takes place on Saturday and Sunday.

McIntosh enters the weekend after a four-race stretch of Midget events in Illinois two weekends earlier.  The 16-year-old also tried to take in a $5,000-to-win Micro Sprint event this past weekend at Arkoma Speedway, only to have the finale washed out by inclement weather.

The recent Illinois swing on August 15-18 netted a pair of top ten finishes with another event rained out.

The four-race set kicked off with POWRi Midget action at the Fairbury American Legion Speedway on Thursday, August 15.  After blowing a power steering line in heat race action, McIntosh rallied through the “B” Main and then climbed from 19th to salvage a tenth-place finish for the night.

“We made it up to eighth at one point,” McIntosh recalls.  “It was a good run for us from the tail.”

More POWRi action followed the next night at Lincoln Speedway with a strong second-place run in heat race action and a good start to the feature before mechanical issues cut the night short.

“We were really good in the heat race, then we ran right up to Zeb (Wise) in the first four laps of the feature before the cam spud stripped out,” McIntosh explains.

Following a Saturday night rainout at Macon Speedway, the team wrapped up the weekend with the Jacksonville Speedway Midget Nationals on Sunday, August 18.

McIntosh checked out in his heat race, only to get tripped up by the turn one cushion and turn over on the final lap.

“I was driving hard, on kill, I took it into one and biked it up on the cushion,” McIntosh says.  “I had no idea we were that far ahead of everyone.”

Battling back into a transfer position in the qualifying race after quick repairs, McIntosh raced his way to a ninth-place finish by the end of the feature event.

“I couldn’t get going at the start of the feature, then we finally got it rolling and got a decent finish,” McIntosh explains.  “It wasn’t a bad comeback.”

McIntosh is looking for a pair of strong runs this weekend at Lake Ozark Speedway with a potential first POWRi National Midget League still looming.

“We have the speed each time out, we just need to put together a full night,” McIntosh sums up.

Along with Toyota-TRD, other marketing partners making the 2019 Cannon McIntosh slate of events possible includes Sanders and Associates, Car and Fleet, Mobil 1, Speedway Engine Development, Best Graphics, Fieldhouse Gear, Precision Inspection, Panels by Smoke, Walker Performance, Sanders Wheels, American Discount Brake and Muffler, D&N Fabrication, Darling Ingredients, PJ’s and Hinds Family.

Up Next:  Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League at Eldon, Missouri’s Lake Ozark Speedway on Saturday and Sunday.
