Gilbert Takes UMP Modified Win at South Mississippi
The #5 of Scott Berger and the #L27 of Ronnie Roberts set the front row for the UMP Modified feature event. When the green flag waved the race was on for the lead between Roberts and third place starting George Gilbert in the #8 car. The two battled most of the race side by side for the lead with Gilbert taking his second win and fourth top five finish of the season.  Gilbert was followed by Roberts and Ronnie Roberts Jr

In the Street Stock divsion the #02 of Bubba Trotter and the #19 of Michael Williams battled hard for the lead throughout the ten lap feature event. Trotter held off the hard charging Williams to take his third win  of the season in the Street Stock division.  Trotter was followed by Williams and the #07 of Earl Woods.

The #31 of Steven Hover took his first win in 2008 at SMS in the Stinger Division.  Hover was followed by Stephanie Necaise and Nick Politi.

The #25 of James Woods took his second win of the season Saturday night in the Pure Stock division.  Woods was followed by the #T32 of Terri Woods and the #4 of James Barton.

Mike Ladner in the #3 car remains undefeated in the Pro Stock division as he took his fourth pro stock season on Saturday night.  Ladner was followed by the #26 of Bubba Trotter and the #Kc1 of Randy Eaton.
