October 28th, 2007 - Billy made the main event in his debut in the #33 GRT/Russell Baker Racing Engine Super Late Model at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky on Saturday night against a stellar field of 62 Super Late Models. Billy started 13th in the feature event but would retire earlyin the event with mechanical woes.

October 18th, 2007 - After a few months away from Super Late Model racing, Billy James will return to action next weekend in the Commonwealth Cup at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky. He will be behind the wheel of the Sellars #33 GRT/Russell Baker Racing Eninge Super Late Model. MORE.

August 6th, 2007 - Billy picked up a pair of top ten finishes in MSRA Late Model action over the weekend. On Friday night, Billy finished 6th at Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, Arkansas and on Saturday night, Billy picked up a 9th place finish at Poinsett County Raceway in Harrisburg, Arkansas.

August 1st, 2007 - Billy has made a change of plans for the upcoming weekend. He will still be in action at Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, Arkansas on Friday night, but instead of going to Missouri for Saturday and Sunday night, he will instead head to Poinsett County Raceway in Harrisburg, Arkansas on Saturday night for a $2,000 to win MSRA Late Model Series event.

July 31st, 2007 - After a weekend away from the track, James-Robinson Motorsports will return in full force this weekend with a trio of events in Arkansas and Missouri. On Friday, James will be in action with the MSRA Late Model Series at Batesville Motor Speedway in Batesville, Arkansas. Saturday night will find James headed north to Springfield Raceway in Springfield, Missouri for a $3,000 to win/$500 to start Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) event. Sunday night will once again find Billy in action with the M.A.R.S. tour, but this time at Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri. MORE

July 22nd, 2007 - Billy competed in a pair of Southern Regional Racing Series Super Late Model events over the course of the weekend and came away with a pair of top ten finishes. On Friday night, he was in action at West Tennessee Motor Speedway in Lexington, Tennessee. Despite a power steering pump that went out during hot laps, Billy recovered to start 7th in the feature. When the checkered flag fell on the 40 lap event, he came home in the 7th position. On Saturday night, James went over to Thunderhill Speedway in Summertown, Tennessee for a $3,000 to win event. Disaster truck again during time trials, when a right rear shock broke on the car before he could ever get a timed lap. James started at the back of his consolation event and charged to a 3rd place finish, which earned him a 16th starting position in the feature. In the feature event, he would advance to a 10th place finish. Billy will take the upcoming weekend off from racing to spend some time with old friends. He'll be back in action the first weekend of August.

July 15th, 2007 - Billy had an extremely tough weekend as he entered a pair of events. On Friday night, James was in action with the Lucas Oil Series at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama. In his heat race, James had a flat tire, which resulted in a 11th starting spot in his b-main. James was able to charge to a 5th place finish, which was two spots short of a transfer. On Saturday night the team once again competed with the Lucas Oil Speedway at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. Wheel trouble struck James once again in his heat race as the right rear packed with mud. James started deep in his b-main, and failed to transfer to the feature. MORE

July 10th, 2007 - Billy will be in action this weekend in a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Series events this weekend. On Friday, the team will head to North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama for a $7,000 to win event and on Saturday, the team will head to Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for a $10,000 to win event. July 7th, 2007 - Billy competed at Tri City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Illinois last night with the UMP Summernationals against a stout field of competitors. Billy failed to make the main event.

July 1st, 2007 - Billy and James-Robinson Motorsports had a busy weekend. The team was heading to Western Kentucky Speedway in Nebo, Kentucky on Friday night for a UMP Summernationals event, but changed their plans due to rain in the area. As a result, the team headed to the MSRA Late Model event at Poinsett County Raceway in Harrisburg, Arkansas. Billy struggled in his heat race, and took the final transfer spot into the feature. At the drop of the green flag, James began his march to the front and was battling for the third position with a few laps to go when another car ran him off the track. Billy recovered for an 11th place finish.

On Saturday night, the team headed over to Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee for a $10,000 to win UMP Summernationals event. Billy had a poor qualifying lap, which left him starting 11th in his heat race. Billy advanced from his 11th starting spot to a 4th place finish in his heat, which earned him a pole starting spot for the first b-main. Billy won the b-main, and transferred to the feature. In the feature, James was unable to advance any positions on a track that took rubber in the early stages and was credited with a 15th place finish.

June 27th, 2007 - Billy competed last night in UMP Summernationals action at Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Billy's night got off to a rough start with an ill handling race car and went downhill from there. James struggled in his heat race, and raced his way into a transfer spot in the b-main before his tires sealed over during a late race caution causing him to lose a couple of spots in the closing laps and miss the transfer by one spot. James will be back in action on Saturday, June 30th in UMP Summernationals action at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee. MORE

June 17th, 2007 - On Friday night James-Robinson Motorsports was headed to Batesville Motor Speedway, when they received word that the event had been rained out. As a result, they headed back to Auto Tire & Parts Raceway in Benton, Missouri. Billy won his heat race and the feature event. On Saturday night the team headed back to Batesville Motor Speedway. Billy ran 4th in the b-main, started 18th in the feature, and came away with a 9th place finish in the feature.

June 10th, 2007 - Billy competed in a pair of events over the weekend. On Friday night, James was rained out at West Tennessee Motor Speedway in Lexington, Tennessee, so he headed to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas, where he came away with a 5th place finish in the feature. On Saturday night, James was in action with the MSRA Late Model Series at Poplar Bluff Speedway in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. where he finished 7th in the feature event. MORE

June 3rd, 2007 - Billy endured a weekend of rain, but finally managed to get a race in on Saturday night. The team started off at Lebanon/Midway Speedway on Friday night, but rains moved in, nixing the program during hot laps. The next night the team headed to I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Missouri, but it also got knocked out by rain, so the team high tailed it to I-55 Speedway in Pevely, Missouri for a $10,000 to win event. Billy finished 4th in his heat race, which earned him a 13th starting position for the feature. His night would come to an end early though as he retired with mechanical woes and would be credited with a 21st place finish in the final rundown. MORE

May 29th, 2007 - Billy will be in action this coming weekend in a pair of events in Lebanon, Missouri. On Friday night, he will be in action at Lebanon/Midway Speedway with the M.L.R.A. tour, and on Saturday night he will be in action with the M.A.R.S. tour at I-44 Speedway. MORE

May 27th, 2007 - Billy competed over the weekend at the 15th Annual O'Reilly Show Me 100. The weekend got off to a good start with him timing in 20th fastest. The top 24 cars were inverted for the heat races, so Billy started pole position for his heat. He battled in the top three throughout the heat, but faded to the fourth spot with a few laps left, and missed the transfer to the main event by one spot. On Saturday night, James started on the pole of his b-main, but his night would be short, as Brad Neat blatantly crashed Billy in the first corner ending his night.

May 20th, 2007 - Billy took the weekend off to prepare for the 15th Annual O'Reilly Show Me 100 at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri and the Fed Ex 50 at Tri City Speedway in Pontoon Beach, Illinois. MORE

May 16th, 2007 - Billy will take this weekend off to prepare for the 15th Annual Show Me 100 at West Plains Motor Speedway in West Plains, Missouri, which will be held May 24th-26th.

May 13th, 2007 - Billy had another strong weekend. On Friday night, the team competed at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas. He won his heat race and finished 2nd in the feature. On Saturday night, the team headed to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for his first ever Southern All Star Super Late Model event. James timed in 6th fastest out of 35 cars, which earned locked him into the feature with a 6th starting spot. James battled in the top 5 throughout the feature and finished 5th, but the scorers incorrectly showed him with a finishing position of 6th.

May 10th, 2007 - James-Robinson Motorsports has made a change of plans for the weekend and will be heading to Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas on Friday night for a Weekly Racing Series Event and to Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Saturday night for a Southern All Stars event.

May 7th, 2007 - Billy had another turbulent night last night as he competed in the M.A.R.S. event at Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri. After another poor, pill draw, he started 7th in his heat race. By lap two he was already up to 5th and was getting ready to advance further when an out of control car, slammed him into the front stretch wall. His car sustained heavy damage, but the crew was able to repair the car in time for the b-main. Billy started last in the b-main, but was able to charge to the 4th and final transfer spot. In the feature, he started 20th, but advanced to an 8th place finish. The plans for the upcoming weekend are up in the air, but right now James-Robinson Motorsports is leaning toward competing at the $25,000 to win Diamond Nationals event at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri this weekend.

May 6th, 2007 - Billy started the weekend off at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway on Friday night. Bad luck struck quick though, as James lost his brakes as he went out for qualifying. The result was a poor qualifying time, which relegated him to the back of a heat. The program would rain out before his heat was run, and with a tough heat in front of him, Billy opted to skip Saturday night's program, and headed to I-44 Speedway in Lebanon, Missouri for the M.A.R.S. sanctioned event. James started 7th in his heat race, and on a hooked up track was only able to advance one spot. In his b-main he also fell short of making the feature, so James utilitized a provisional for the feature event. In the feature, James was able to charge to a 11th place finish. Tonight, Billy will be in action with the M.A.R.S tour at Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri.
